On the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, a felicitation ceremony was organised at IMA Bareilly to honour voluntary blood donors and organisers of blood donation camps for their valuable contribution to the cause of blood donation and patient care.
The ceremony was organised by the RSG IMA Blood Centre, Bareilly, at the IMA Bhawan auditorium. Bareilly MP Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar attended the programme as the chief guest.
The event recognised individuals and organisations that have contributed to promoting voluntary blood donation. Several people from Bareilly, including residents of Shahdana and Gangapur, participated in the blood donation camp with enthusiasm and pledged their support to help patients in need.
Representatives of social organisations, doctors and blood donors were felicitated for their contribution. Special appreciation was also given to first-time blood donors.
Uttar Pradesh Government Minister Dr. Arun Kumar, Nawabganj MLA Dr. M.P. Arya, and Bareilly-Rampur Legislative Council Member Maharaj Singh attended the programme as special guests. Dr. Sanjay Singh and Rajpal Singh, recipients of the State Education Award, were also honoured for their services.
IMA Bareilly President Dr. D.P. Gangwar said that blood donation is an important form of humanitarian service and that a single donation can help save a patient’s life. He appealed to healthy and eligible individuals to come forward and donate blood voluntarily on a regular basis.
RSG IMA Blood Centre Chairman Dr. Ravish Agrawal and Director Dr. Anju Uppal emphasised the need to increase awareness about blood donation and encourage greater participation in voluntary blood donation.
IMA Vice-President Dr. Anshu Agrawal, Honorary Secretary Dr. Mohit Agrawal, Treasurer Dr. Rajveer Singh Gangwar, Chief Advisor Dr. I.S. Tomar, along with Dr. Parul Priya, Dr. J.P. Sethi, Dr. Mayank Kumar Gupta, Dr. Madhu Gupta, Dr. Rajeev Goyal, Dr. Ritu Rajeev, Dr. Mamta Sharma and Dr. Anita Ajay, along with several other doctors, IMA members and dignitaries, were present.
The speakers appreciated the efforts of the RSG IMA Blood Centre in promoting voluntary blood donation and providing blood-related services to patients. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all the guests, donors and blood donation camp organisers.
