Apollo Hospitals plans to expand its hospital network by adding five to 10 new hospitals over the next five years, Founder and Chairman Dr Prathap C. Reddy said. The expansion is part of the healthcare major’s broader strategy to increase capacity, improve access to advanced medical care and strengthen its presence across India.

Apollo to Add New Hospitals and 5,800+ Beds

Speaking at the launch of Apollo’s ‘Always Open. Always Here.’ initiative in Delhi, Reddy said the group would continue expanding its footprint across the country.

“I’ll put up another five, ten hospitals in the next five years,” Reddy said.

The planned expansion comes as Apollo Hospitals aims to add more than 5,800 beds over the next five years. According to the company’s June quarter earnings report, four upcoming facilities Indore, Dwarka, Delhi Proton Centre and Ranchi along with 148 additional beds at its existing Indore and Guwahati facilities, account for around 1,200 beds of the planned additions.

Focus on Advanced Healthcare and Technology

Reddy said Apollo would continue to focus on bringing advanced healthcare technologies to India while strengthening the country’s position as a global healthcare destination.

The group has also been working to expand access to specialised treatments in India, with the aim of reducing the need for patients to travel overseas for advanced medical care.

Apollo Launches ‘Always Open. Always Here.’ Initiative

Apollo Hospitals has launched its ‘Always Open. Always Here.’ initiative to make routine healthcare services available on Sundays, subject to hospital-specific schedules.

The initiative covers services such as:

  • Outpatient consultations
  • Diagnostic services
  • Preventive health check-ups
  • Follow-up consultations
  • Scheduled procedures

The initiative is designed to address time constraints that often prevent people from seeking timely medical attention during regular working days.

Reddy highlighted that health conditions and medical emergencies do not follow fixed schedules, making wider access to healthcare services important.

Apollo’s emergency, critical care and inpatient services are already available 24×7, while the new initiative extends routine and planned healthcare access across all seven days of the week.

Strong Financial Performance in Q1 FY27

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise reported a 34.2% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit attributable to owners to ₹581 crore in the June quarter of FY27, compared with ₹433 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations increased 20.6% to ₹7,044 crore, while EBITDA rose 28.2% to ₹1,092 crore. The company’s EBITDA margin also improved to around 15.5%, compared with 14.6% a year earlier.

The planned hospital expansion, along with increased bed capacity and wider access to healthcare services, is expected to further strengthen Apollo’s presence in India’s growing healthcare market.
