A 300-bed hospital, a cancer institute, and a memorial for deceased Karsevaks are proposed to be constructed near the Ram temple in Ayodhya by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The proposals are scheduled to be discussed at a two-day meeting of the Ram Temple Construction Committee that began on January 4, committee chairman Nripendra Mishra said.

Mishra stated that construction related to the Ram temple is expected to be completed by March 2026. He added that work being carried out by Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consultancy Services is progressing as planned and is expected to be finished within the stipulated timeframe. Upon completion, the structures will be handed over to the Ram Temple Trust.

He said the meeting will include discussions on healthcare infrastructure, with Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Kumar Ghosh expected to attend to finalise details of the proposed 300-bed hospital and cancer institute.

According to Mishra, decisions are likely to be taken on the construction of the hospital in Ayodhya and the cancer institute-cum-hospital proposed by the Tata Foundation. The facilities are intended to serve residents of Ayodhya as well as visitors to the city.
