In a move aimed at tackling cervical cancer through prevention and awareness, Vidal Health and the Serum Institute of India have entered into a strategic collaboration to make the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine more accessible across the country.

From October 1, 2025, Vidal Health India’s second-largest third-party administrator (TPA) and a Bajaj Finserv Health subsidiary will become the first digital platform to provide a seamless, cashless HPV vaccination experience. The programme covers everything from booking a doctor’s appointment and giving consent to tracking vaccine schedules and issuing digital certificates, eliminating paperwork entirely.

The initiative is designed to be end-to-end and fully managed, offering dosage reminders, adherence monitoring, and efficient network support to ensure continuity of care. The vaccine will be available directly through Vidal Health’s platform, cutting out intermediaries and ensuring timely delivery. Employees of partner corporates will also have the option of receiving the vaccine at their workplace or at affiliated clinics.

Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, called the collaboration a strong start to Bajaj Finserv Health’s vaccination programme. “By equipping individuals and corporates with digital convenience to manage health proactively, we not only help them cut long-term healthcare costs but also contribute to the nation’s sustained well-being,” he said.

Adar Poonawalla, CEO of the Serum Institute of India, emphasized the importance of reach and awareness. “The HPV vaccine is an important step in preventing cervical cancer, but wider access and awareness are key to its impact. This partnership helps bridge that gap by using technology to deliver vaccines more efficiently and at scale,” he noted.

Neetha Uthaiah, Whole Time Director of Vidal Healthcare Services, highlighted the inclusivity aspect: “The collaboration enables us to deliver preventive and transparent healthcare beyond our core claims processing and wellness offerings. By reducing hospitalisations and out-of-pocket expenses, we aim to optimise the healthcare ecosystem in India.”

The programme also aligns with national digital health platforms like Aarogya Setu, weaving HPV vaccination into India’s broader preventive health framework. With pricing designed to be inclusive and affordable, Vidal Health’s expansion into vaccines builds on its existing digital offerings such as telemedicine, diagnostics, wellness programmes, and health financing.

By integrating technology, healthcare services, and vaccine supply, the collaboration aims not just to improve vaccine uptake but also to strengthen India’s digital health infrastructure laying the groundwork for a more connected and preventive healthcare system.
