The Uttar Pradesh government is set to launch an AYUSH mobile application to provide online OPD services and information related to AYUSH systems, according to an official statement issued on Sunday.
Developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, the app aims to improve access to AYUSH healthcare services. AYUSH Principal Secretary Ranjan Kumar said the initiative is intended to make AYUSH services available to a wider section of the population.
The application will allow patients to book OPD appointments online, reducing the need to wait in queues at hospitals and AYUSH centres. This is expected to help reduce crowding and improve convenience, particularly for senior citizens, women, and people from remote areas.
The app will offer information on Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy, including details on treatments, medicines, doctors, and nearby AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries. It will also include information on government schemes and programmes related to AYUSH.
According to the statement, the app is designed to be user-friendly, secure and reliable, with measures in place to protect patient data. Future updates are expected to add features such as tele-consultation, access to online reports and digital health records.
