Truevis Technologies has announced plans to establish a ₹500 crore medical equipment manufacturing facility in Haldia, West Bengal, after receiving an allotment of 50 acres of land from the state government.

The proposed facility will be the company’s second manufacturing unit in India and its first in eastern India, strengthening its domestic production capabilities in the medical equipment sector.

The plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of more than 1,000 units of large medical equipment, including diagnostic imaging systems, patient monitoring devices, radiotherapy and radiology equipment, along with related components and assemblies.

According to the company, the new facility is projected to generate annual business exceeding ₹1,000 crore within five years of commissioning. The expansion is also aimed at reducing dependence on imports in selected product categories and improving supply efficiency across eastern India.

A Truevis spokesperson said Haldia’s industrial infrastructure, port connectivity and power availability make it a suitable location for the project. The company also plans to gradually localise component manufacturing and develop a skilled technical workforce through partnerships with local institutions.

The proposed investment is expected to support domestic medical equipment manufacturing and contribute to the expansion of India’s healthcare technology industry.
