On June 29, TISHHA Consultants LLP successfully organized ‘Nursarium – The Nursing Principal Summit’ in Bareilly, bringing together nursing principals, vice principals, HODs, and faculty members from across the Rohilkhand region. The summit served as a platform to discuss the critical gaps and ongoing challenges in the nursing education and healthcare training ecosystem.
The session began with an opening address by Mr. Manish Vaishnav, Founder and Director of TISHHA, who introduced the vision and objectives behind the summit primarily focused on identifying and addressing the pressing issues in the nursing industry.
Dr. Prathiba Manoharam, Principal of Keshlata College of Nursing, Bareilly, set the tone for the event with her keynote on “Common Gaps and Challenges in Nursing Colleges.” Her insights opened the floor for a dynamic and engaging discussion among attending delegates.

Throughout the summit, several speakers highlighted specific challenges faced in the sector:
- Ms. Gunjan Singh Bhakuni, Nursing Tutor at Rohilkhand College of Nursing, spoke on the mental health landscape in society and the lack of focus on psychiatric nursing.
- Mr. Deepak Pauchary, Vice Principal of Varun Arjun College of Nursing, emphasized the academic hurdles faced by both faculty and students.
- Mrs. Kavita Sharma, Principal of Deepmala College of Nursing, discussed the dual challenges faced by faculty members and management.
- Dr. Ginu George, Principal of Florence Nightingale College shared concerns about inadequate infrastructure, insufficient medical equipment, and the need for skill development initiatives.
The open discussion further expanded to key issues including:
- Limited clinical exposure for students
- High dropout rates
- Financial and academic stress
- Inadequate hospital affiliations in the region
- Challenges in community postings
- Ambiguity in fee structures
During the program, Ms. Sugandh Khandelwal, Co-founder and Director of TISHHA, encouraged attendees to share their insights and institutional challenges for consideration in future events. She also invited delegates to visit the TISHHA office and submit details about their upcoming events for inclusion in the official newsletter.
Mr. Mushahid Rafat, Co-Director of TISHHA, briefed the gathering on upcoming initiatives by TISHHA:

- 13th July – National Conference on Nursing Excellence and Leadership
He also invited feedback from principals, faculty, and institutional heads to collaboratively bridge existing gaps in nursing education.
