Thyrocare appoints Dr Ramesh Kinha as Chief Operating Officer

Thyrocare Technologies Limited has announced the appointment of Dr Ramesh Kinha as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking a key addition to the company’s senior leadership as it expands its diagnostic footprint across India.

With over 17 years of experience in the diagnostics and healthcare sector, Dr Kinha brings strong expertise in laboratory operations, quality systems, and large-scale network management. In his new role, he will lead Thyrocare’s laboratory operations and focus on strengthening quality standards across its nationwide network, with an emphasis on enhancing diagnostic accuracy and service delivery.

Before joining Thyrocare, Dr Kinha was Group Director – Laboratory Services at Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Limited, where he spearheaded critical operational and quality initiatives. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Apollo Health & Lifestyle Ltd, Medall Healthcare, Metropolis Healthcare, and SRL Ltd, during which he drove operational excellence and led strategic transformation initiatives.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Kinha said that Thyrocare’s commitment to accessible and high-quality healthcare strongly resonated with him. He noted that his focus would be on optimising operations, strengthening quality frameworks, and supporting the company’s mission to deliver affordable, world-class diagnostic services to a wider population.

Dr Kinha holds an MBBS degree and an MD in Pathology, and has completed senior management and leadership programmes from IIM Nagpur and the Indian School of Business (ISB). He is also a certified assessor with the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), bringing deep expertise in regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

He highlighted that Dr Kinha’s operational depth and experience in building high-performing laboratory networks would play an important role in strengthening the company’s operational foundation and advancing its goal of making quality diagnostics accessible across the country.
