Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi late Tuesday night after she complained of health discomfort. Hospital sources confirmed that she is currently under medical supervision, and her condition is being closely monitored by a team of doctors. According to sources, the 79-year-old leader is stable and responding to treatment. Doctors have placed her under observation as a precautionary measure, with routine tests being conducted to assess her condition. Reports suggest that she experienced issues such as chest discomfort or general uneasiness, prompting her admission to the hospital.

Hospital authorities have indicated that there is no immediate cause for concern. A team of specialists is attending to her, and initial assessments suggest that her condition is stable. Sources also noted that her health issue may be linked to minor illness or weather-related factors, though detailed reports are awaited.

Family members, including her children Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, have been present at the hospital to monitor her condition. Party sources stated that she is receiving the best possible medical care and is under constant observation.

This is not the first time the veteran leader has been hospitalised in recent months. She was earlier admitted in January for respiratory issues linked to asthma and environmental conditions. Over the past few years, she has undergone treatment for minor health concerns, including stomach-related issues and routine check-ups. Further updates are expected as medical evaluations continue, with hospital authorities closely monitoring her recovery.
