SIMS Hospitals has introduced ‘SIMS Penmai,’ a dedicated women’s health and wellness centre in Vadapalani, launched on 12th of March. The inauguration was led by actor Urvashi, accompanied by her daughter Tejalakshmi Jeyan. Designed to cater to women at every stage of life, the centre is divided into four specialized divisions.
Raju Sivasamy, Vice President of SIMS Hospitals, emphasized that the facility provides a comprehensive range of medical services under one roof, ensuring convenience and holistic care for women. Dr. Sandhya Vasan, Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, explained that Penmai follows a ‘circle of care’ approach, offering four key divisions:
- Mazhalai – Focused on infant and neonatal care
- Miraclenest – Providing advanced fertility treatments
- Thulir – Supporting women through every phase of maternity
- Mangai – Offering specialized care from adolescence to post-menopause
Dr. Erika Patel, Clinical Lead and Senior Consultant in the IVF department, highlighted that while the centre is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology, its primary emphasis is on delivering personalized and compassionate healthcare for women.
To mark the launch, SIMS Hospitals is offering free obstetrics, gynaecology, and other consultations at SIMS Penmai for the first 100 registrations.
