The Centre has appointed senior IAS officer Piyush Singla as Director in the National Health Authority (NHA)- Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), functioning under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi, according to an official order.
Singla, a 2012-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs and selected for the position under the Central Staffing Scheme.
As per the official notification, his appointment will come into effect from the date he assumes charge and will continue alongside the tenure of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The term may be extended as per the provisions of the Central Staffing Scheme or until further orders.
The order further stated that Singla should be relieved from his current duties immediately to enable him to join his new role at the National Health Authority under the Department of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi.
