Park Medi World, the second-largest hospital network in North India, has entered into an agreement to acquire KP Institute of Medical Sciences (KPIMS) through an all-cash deal valued at ₹245 crore. The transaction involves the purchase of 100 per cent of the existing equity of KPIMS.
With this acquisition, Park Medi World will add a 360-bed tertiary-care hospital to its portfolio, supporting its cluster-led expansion strategy that aims to drive operational efficiencies and economies of scale by building capacity in geographically connected markets.
The deal strengthens the Park Group’s footprint in major urban centres across North India. Post-acquisition, the institute is expected to contribute immediately, with plans to enhance clinical offerings, improve operational efficiency and optimise capacity utilisation over the medium term.
Dr Ankit Gupta, Managing Director of Park Medi World Limited, said the acquisition represents an important milestone in the group’s growth journey and aligns with the vision of Chairman Dr Ajit Gupta to provide accessible, high-quality and affordable healthcare. He highlighted Agra as a high-growth market with increasing demand for reliable healthcare services, adding that KPIMS’s strategic location would enable the group to expand advanced, patient-centric medical care across the region while supporting future growth initiatives.
