Park Medi World Limited has strengthened its healthcare footprint in North India with the inauguration of The Medicity Hospital, Rudrapur, a 330-bed multi-super speciality facility in Uttarakhand. The new hospital marks the company’s entry into the state and is expected to enhance access to advanced healthcare services across the Kumaon region.
The newly launched facility is positioned as one of the largest healthcare institutions in the region, offering a comprehensive range of tertiary and quaternary care services. Equipped with modern medical infrastructure and supported by a team of specialists from leading medical institutions, the hospital aims to cater to the growing demand for advanced treatment closer to home.
With the addition of the Rudrapur hospital, Park Medi World has expanded its presence to six states and further strengthened its network across North India. The company currently operates 17 hospitals with an aggregate capacity of around 4,300 beds across multiple cities.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Ankit Gupta, Managing Director of Park Medi World Limited, said the launch represents an important milestone in the group’s growth journey. He noted that the Kumaon region has witnessed increasing demand for specialized healthcare services and that the new facility has been designed to bridge critical gaps in advanced medical care availability.
The hospital is expected to serve patients from Rudrapur and neighboring districts, reducing the need for long-distance travel to metropolitan centers for complex treatments. The facility will provide multidisciplinary clinical services supported by advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
The launch is part of Park Medi World’s broader expansion strategy focused on increasing healthcare capacity and strengthening referral networks across its operational markets. The company is currently working on integrating additional hospitals and expanding existing facilities, a move that is expected to add nearly 1,300 beds to its network over the next few years.
Once these projects are completed, Park Medi World’s total bed capacity is projected to reach approximately 5,600 beds by March 2028, reinforcing its position among the leading hospital chains in North India. The company believes that expanding into emerging healthcare markets such as Uttarakhand will support long-term growth while improving access to quality healthcare services for underserved populations.
