Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, has unveiled plans for a state-of-the-art, 2,000-bed medical city in Mumbai.

This upcoming facility will go far beyond a conventional hospital, serving as a hub of healthcare innovation where advanced medical technology and artificial intelligence will complement the expertise of world-class doctors. The goal is to provide globally benchmarked healthcare at affordable costs, transforming India’s healthcare sector and reshaping the future of medical services through cutting-edge solutions.

Speaking at the 48th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries, Ambani said,

“This will not be just another hospital, but India’s new beacon of healthcare innovation. AI-powered diagnostics, cutting-edge medical technology, and leading doctors from around the world will come together here to deliver care that meets the highest global standards.”

In addition to patient care, the medical city will feature a next-generation medical college aimed at training future doctors to serve India and the world. Ambani stressed that the initiative is not only about expanding healthcare capacity but also about ensuring world-class care is accessible and affordable for every Indian.

This ambitious project builds on the legacy of the Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, one of Mumbai’s leading multi-speciality hospitals, which recently celebrated a decade of service and has treated millions of patients.

Marking the hospital’s 10-year milestone, Ambani also announced “Jeevan” the name of the upcoming medical city and a new extension of the hospital. The Jeevan wing will specialize in pediatric cancer treatment, offering chemotherapy and immunotherapy in a compassionate, child-friendly environment. “This wing will be designed to heal our little ones with world-class care and a mother’s warmth,” Ambani said.
