NATHEALTH has announced key leadership appointments with Shankha Banerjee CEO, Dr. Lal Pathlabs taking charge as Treasurer and Mandeep Singh Kumar, Managing Director and Vice President, Medtronic India being appointed as Secretary of the organization. The appointments are aimed at strengthening NATHEALTH’s leadership framework as the body continues to focus on healthcare policy advocacy, industry collaboration and strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem.
Shankha Banerjee who currently serves in a senior leadership role at a leading healthcare organization brings extensive experience in healthcare management, financial planning and strategic operations. As Treasurer he is expected to oversee the federation’s financial governance, support long-term planning and contribute toward initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and industry coordination.
Mandeep Singh Kumar has been appointed as Secretary and will play a key role in organizational administration, policy engagement and coordination among member institutions. Known for his experience in healthcare leadership and hospital management Kumar is expected to support NATHEALTH’s efforts in addressing key sectoral challenges including healthcare accessibility, digital transformation and regulatory reforms.
Industry experts believe that strong leadership within healthcare associations such as NATHEALTH is essential for facilitating dialogue between the government and private healthcare providers especially as the sector navigates challenges related to affordability, workforce shortages and infrastructure expansion.
