MedLern, a healthcare training solutions provider, in collaboration with Laerdal Medical, has introduced a new 16-in-1 clinical skills training kit aimed at enhancing practical learning for healthcare professionals.
The kit is designed to help individuals or groups of learners practice essential nursing procedures, including nasogastric tube insertion, wound management, tracheostomy care, catheterization, and various types of injections.
It follows a dual-mode learning methodology, combining comprehensive theoretical knowledge with the assessment of hands-on abilities through Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation (OSCE).
One of its key features is that it operates without the need for electricity or external equipment. Made from eco-friendly, recycled materials, the trainer is lightweight, portable, easy to clean, and simple to store.
Suresh Ramu, Co-founder and CEO of Cytercare Hospitals, highlighted the importance of this advancement, stating, “By creating a blended skills lab that integrates both digital and physical elements, we’re taking a major step toward preparing a more capable healthcare workforce.”
Sanjeev Singh, CEO of Laerdal Medical India, added, “Merging practical clinical training with digital simulations and assessment tools enables educators to adopt a competency-driven approach, significantly enhancing the learning experience and outcomes.”
