Medicover Hospitals has inaugurated a 25-storey hospital tower in Hyderabad’s Financial District. The facility, which is 82 metres tall, is being described by the company as the tallest hospital tower in India and is intended to expand tertiary care capacity in the region.

The hospital spans around five lakh square feet and has a total capacity of 550 beds. Infrastructure includes 80 outpatient consultation rooms, 13 operating theatres, and a 200-bed intensive care unit. The facility also houses a 200-seat medical auditorium and 150 private single-bed rooms.

The project has been developed under the leadership of Dr G. Anil Krishna, Chairman and Managing Director, Medicover Hospitals (India), as part of the organisation’s expansion plans in India.

Clinical Services and Technology

The hospital offers services across multiple specialities, including oncology, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, transplant medicine, and women’s and children’s health. Diagnostic and surgical infrastructure includes a Biplane Cath Lab, a 640-slice CT scanner, a 1.5T wide-bore MRI system, and the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery platform.

According to the company, the facility will function as a Centre of Excellence for transplants and robotic-assisted surgeries, with services aimed at both domestic and international patients.

Digital Systems and Patient Services

The hospital incorporates digital systems for patient monitoring, integrated intensive care management, and operational workflows. The building has been designed using eco-conscious materials and includes touchless technologies.

Dedicated services for international patients include visa facilitation, translation support, and coordinated care services.

Medicover stated that the new hospital is intended to strengthen Hyderabad’s healthcare infrastructure and support the growing demand for specialised and technology-enabled medical care. The company said the facility aligns with its broader strategy to expand advanced healthcare services in India.
