India is emerging as a major destination for international patients seeking advanced medical treatment at comparatively affordable costs, with growing demand across cardiac care, oncology, fertility, transplants and other specialised procedures.
Against this backdrop, the Medical Tourism Conclave 2026 – Beyond Borders will be held on 25 September 2026 in New Delhi, bringing together healthcare leaders, policymakers, diplomatic representatives and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of cross-border healthcare.
Organised by EventXpress, the event arm of Express Publications (Madurai) Pvt Ltd, in association with The Medi Media People, the conclave will focus on the theme “Connecting Nations for Accessible, Advanced & Trusted Healthcare.”
The discussions will examine how India can build stronger global healthcare corridors through better coordination among hospitals, governments, embassies, insurers and other stakeholders. Key issues are expected to include medical visa facilitation, cross-border insurance and payments, patient support, international connectivity and continuity of care.
The conclave will also explore India’s competitive advantage of combining advanced clinical expertise with comparatively lower treatment costs, while addressing the trust and infrastructure gaps that can affect the international patient journey.
Digital healthcare will form another important part of the conversation, with telemedicine, artificial intelligence and digital platforms increasingly enabling consultations, treatment planning and follow-up care across borders.
Kaveree Bamzai, senior journalist, author and media commentator, will moderate the sessions, while Prabhu Chawla, Editorial Director of The New Indian Express, will be the Chief Guest. The initiative is also supported by The ChakBal Group.
