Medanta has appointed Dr. Pawan Rawal as the Senior Director of Gastroenterology and Gastrosciences. With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Rawal is a leading expert in advanced gastroenterology, therapeutic endoscopy, and hepatology.
Renowned for managing complex pancreaticobiliary disorders, liver diseases (including hepatitis B and C), and paediatric gastroenterology, Dr. Rawal’s clinical skills span procedures such as ERCP, EUS, and third-space endoscopy. He has also led several clinical trials, including the Indian launch trial of Sofosbuvir for hepatitis C, and has published extensively in reputed journals.
Welcoming him, Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and MD of Medanta, said Dr. Rawal’s expertise and leadership will significantly strengthen Medanta’s Gastrosciences department and enhance patient-first care.
