Livasa Hospitals has entered Haryana with the addition of a multi-specialty hospital in Karnal, expanding its healthcare network beyond Punjab. The development is expected to take the network’s potential bed capacity to 1,650 beds as part of its expansion strategy across North India.
Backed by India Resurgence Fund (IndiaRF), Livasa Hospitals has been expanding its presence since the investment firm acquired the network in September 2023. At the time of acquisition, the hospital group had a capacity of 750 beds.
The network currently operates hospitals in Mohali, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Khanna. It is also developing a 368-bed multi-specialty hospital in Ludhiana.
Karnal Hospital Adds Critical Care and Diagnostic Capacity
The newly added Karnal hospital has more than 200 beds and is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
The facility includes 60 critical care beds, comprising 45 intensive care unit (ICU) beds and 15 coronary care unit (CCU) beds. It is equipped with a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, MRI and CT scanners, dialysis services and a round-the-clock emergency department.
The hospital offers specialised services across cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, joint replacement, renal sciences, gastroenterology, oncology, pulmonology, urology and critical care.
Expansion to Improve Regional Healthcare Access
The Karnal facility is expected to serve patients from neighbouring districts, including Kurukshetra, Panipat, Kaithal, Yamunanagar and surrounding areas.
As part of the Livasa network, the hospital will benefit from collaboration with group-level super-specialists, shared clinical expertise and established operational systems.
Anurag Yadav, Chief Executive Officer of Livasa Hospitals, said the addition of the Karnal hospital would strengthen the group’s regional presence and bring advanced medical services closer to communities in Haryana.
Shantanu Nalavadi, Managing Director of IndiaRF, described the expansion as another step towards developing a regional healthcare network focused on clinical excellence and improved access to healthcare services.
With the Karnal hospital joining its portfolio and the Ludhiana project under development, Livasa Hospitals is working towards expanding its potential capacity to 1,650 beds, strengthening its presence across North India.
