Czech healthtech company Kardi AI has introduced an AI-enabled wearable ECG monitoring system in India to support longer-term detection and assessment of heart rhythm abnormalities.
The technology combines a lightweight ECG chest strap with mobile connectivity and AI-assisted analysis. Patients can wear the device during routine daily activities, with ECG recordings transmitted through a mobile platform for analysis.
According to Kardi AI, the extended monitoring approach is intended to improve the chances of detecting intermittent cardiac rhythm abnormalities that may not be captured during shorter monitoring periods.
The company reported detection rates of up to 40 per cent with its technology, compared with around 2-5 per cent reported for conventional Holter monitoring.
The system provides physicians with AI-supported preliminary analysis of ECG recordings, while diagnosis and clinical decision-making remain with the treating physician.
Kardi AI said the technology is positioned as prescription-grade medical technology and is not intended to function as a consumer fitness or wellness device.
The India launch took place in Hyderabad in the presence of Dr Balakrishna, Joint Director, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
Hyderabad-based Eurasia Medical Technologies LLP is facilitating Kardi AI’s operations in India as the company’s authorised representative.
