Indore is poised to enhance its healthcare infrastructure with the upcoming inauguration of the division’s largest AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) hospital. Situated in Mangliya under the Sanwer Assembly constituency, the 50-bed government facility has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹6 crore and is nearing completion.
Cabinet Minister Tulsiram Silawat recently met with AYUSH and Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar to discuss the hospital’s operational readiness. Silawat has requested an additional allocation of approximately ₹10.26 crore to cover essential works, including the construction of ramps and retaining walls, procurement of medical equipment, development of a herbal garden, installation of a fire-fighting system, provision of furniture, and establishment of a fire tank.
While the civil construction is complete, the installation of medical facilities and equipment is underway and expected to be finalized soon. The hospital will be equipped with modern diagnostic services such as sonography, pathology, CT scans, and X-rays. Additionally, it will offer Panchakarma and Yoga treatments and facilitate childbirth services for pregnant women.
Enhancements to the hospital premises include the development of a new garden and ongoing beautification efforts of the adjacent drain, contributing to a more welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. This initiative marks a significant step forward in integrating traditional and modern healthcare services in the region.
