IMA Releases Helpline Numbers to Support Indians Stranded in Gulf Countries

Amid the ongoing tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran, several Gulf countries such as Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have been affected. In view of the situation, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the country’s largest body of doctors, has issued helpline numbers to assist Indian citizens, doctors and IMA members who may be stranded in these nations.

In a letter issued by IMA President Dr. Anil Kumar J. Nayak and Secretary Dr. Sharbari Dutta, emergency contact numbers of Indian embassies in Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE have been shared. Two helpline numbers for each embassy have been provided to help those seeking assistance during the ongoing crisis.

The IMA said that several Indian citizens, including some of its members, are currently stuck in these Gulf countries. The association assured that it stands firmly with all those affected and is committed to providing support during this challenging time.

Dr. Piyush Jain, who resides in Krishna Nagar in Delhi, has been entrusted by the IMA with the responsibility of coordinating assistance for its members stranded in the Gulf region. The association has also urged people to remain calm and share the information with anyone who might need help. Those requiring assistance have been advised to contact the emergency helplines of the respective Indian embassies in the affected countries.
