The Bareilly chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) held its installation ceremony at the IMA Auditorium on Sept. 27, where newly elected President Dr. D.P. Gangwar was formally inducted into office. He reiterated his commitment to taking the organisation in a new direction with the support and cooperation of its members. The new team will assume charge from October 1.
New Executive Committee
The new executive committee will function under the leadership of President Dr. D.P. Gangwar. It includes Dr. Anshu Agrawal and Dr. Shalini Maheshwari as Vice Presidents, Dr. Rajveer Singh Gangwar as Treasurer, Dr. Mohit Agrawal as Honorary Secretary, Dr. Mayank Kumar Gupta as PRO and Dr. Ritu Rajeev as a member of the Hospital Advisory Committee, along with other members.
Dr. Himanshu Agrawal, elected as President for the upcoming term, will assume office for the 2027-28 session.
The installation ceremony followed the Annual General Body Meeting, during which the activities and financial affairs of the 2025–26 session were reviewed. Outgoing President Dr. Atul Kumar Srivastava chaired the meeting, while Honorary Secretary Dr. Anshu Agrawal presented the annual report and Treasurer Dr. Shalini Maheshwari presented the financial statement. Various committees also submitted reports on their activities during the year.
The accounts of the Administrative, Blood Centre, Building and Sports Committees for the period from October 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026, were also reviewed.
During the programme, the new IMA directory, revised bylaws, yearbook and insurance publication were released. Dr. Ravish Agarwal, President-Elect of IMA Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated the pool room at the IMA building. IMA staff members were also felicitated during the event.
Chief Advisor Dr. I.S. Tomar, along with senior doctors and their family members, attended the programme.
