BAREILLY | Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bareilly on Thursday (November 27) held a press conference to announce the details of IMA UPCON25, the state-level annual medical conference scheduled for 29 and 30 November at IMA Bhawan and the IMA Farmhouse. The organising team shared the full roadmap of scientific sessions, workshops, and dignitary visits.
Addressing the press, Dr. Ravish Agarwal, President Elect of IMA UP State and Organising President of UPCON25, said the conference would begin with multiple scientific activities at IMA Bhawan on 29 November. Later in the day, an award function will be organised at the IMA Farmhouse, where Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brijesh Pathak will be the Chief Guest from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm to felicitate outstanding doctors from across the state.
He added that the inauguration and installation ceremony of the new IMA UP team will be held in the evening, with Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar attending as the Chief Guest. The event will run till 9 pm, followed by a Gala Night and dinner.
Organising Secretary Dr. Vimal Bhardwaj detailed the multi-day schedule during the press briefing. Day 0 will include special pre-conference activities. On 29 November, the programme begins with flag hoisting, UG–PG paper and poster presentations, the SWC meeting, and a series of academic interactions. Nationally renowned medical experts including Dr. Praveen Chandra and Dr. Deepak Talwar will headline the scientific sessions on 29 and 30 November.
Workshops on PFT, CPR, BCLS, dog-bite and snake-bite management, along with hands-on training sessions for MBBS students and interns, will run parallel to the academic lecture series. A cultural segment titled “Nath Nagri Ki Tehzeeb” will showcase Bareilly’s heritage.
Other key organisers Dr. Shalini Maheshwari (Chairperson, Mementos & Award Committee), Dr. Vinod Pagrani (Co-Convenor), Dr. Anoop Arya (Co-Chairman Reception Committee) and Dr. Anshu Agarwal (Convenor, Transportation) expressed confidence that UPCON25 will be one of the most memorable conferences in recent years, bringing together more than 800 delegates and offering updated insights into cardiology, nephrology, and emerging medical disciplines.
With high-profile participation and a rich scientific agenda, IMA UPCON25 is set to be a major academic event for Uttar Pradesh’s medical community.
