Haryana CM Launches Healthcare Projects Worth Over Rs 100 Crore to Strengthen Public Health Infrastructure

In a major boost to healthcare infrastructure in the state, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for healthcare projects worth more than Rs 100 crore, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving medical facilities and expanding access to quality healthcare services across urban and rural regions. The newly launched projects encompass the construction and upgradation of hospitals, expansion of diagnostic and treatment facilities, strengthening of primary healthcare centres and the deployment of advanced medical equipment aimed at enhancing patient care. The initiatives form part of the state’s broader strategy to modernize healthcare infrastructure and ensure that citizens receive timely and affordable medical services closer to their homes.

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister emphasized that healthcare remains one of the government’s top priorities. He noted that significant investments are being made to upgrade existing facilities and create new healthcare infrastructure capable of meeting the growing medical needs of Haryana’s population. According to the Chief Minister, the projects will not only improve healthcare delivery but also reduce the burden on tertiary care hospitals by strengthening services at district and sub-district levels.

The healthcare projects include the development of new hospital blocks, enhancement of emergency and critical care services, expansion of diagnostic laboratories and the establishment of specialized treatment units. Several facilities are expected to receive modern medical equipment that will improve diagnosis and treatment capabilities while reducing patient waiting times. He also virtually laid the foundation stone for a rest house at the District Civil hospital, sonipat, at a cost of Rs 6.45 Crore.He launched “swasth nari, shasakt parivar”women’s clinics in 23 district hospitals at an annual operational cost of Rs 34 lakhs. Expanding CT Scan and MRI services, the chief minister inaugurated MRI facilities at district hospitals in Panipat and Kurukshetra at a cost of Rs 12 crore and CT Scan services at the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Bahadurgarh, and District Hospital, Dadri, at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

State health officials highlighted that the investments are aligned with Haryana’s vision of building a more resilient healthcare system capable of addressing both routine healthcare needs and future public health challenges. The projects are also expected to improve healthcare accessibility in underserved areas enabling residents to receive advanced medical care without having to travel to larger cities. He further stated that the government is working continuously to strengthen healthcare infrastructure through increased budgetary allocations, recruitment of medical professionals, and adoption of technology-driven healthcare solutions. Efforts are also being made to expand digital health services and improve connectivity between healthcare institutions to ensure seamless patient care.

Healthcare experts believe that such investments are becoming increasingly important as demand for quality medical services continues to rise across India. Population growth, increasing incidence of chronic diseases, and greater awareness about preventive healthcare are driving the need for stronger healthcare infrastructure at the state level.The latest projects are expected to create long-term benefits by improving healthcare outcomes, expanding treatment capacity, and supporting the state’s broader public health objectives. Once completed, the facilities will strengthen Haryana’s healthcare network and contribute significantly to improving access to quality medical services for residents across the state.
