Continuing its long-standing tradition of organising biannual pacemaker check-up camps on the last Sunday of June and December, Gangasheel Hospital successfully conducted its Pacemaker Check-up Camp on June 28. The camp witnessed participation from more than 327 patients from various regions, who underwent pacemaker evaluation and reprogramming services.
During the camp, a total of 327 patients availed healthcare services. Of these, 180 patients received OPD consultation services at a 50 percent concession, while 47 patients underwent echocardiography (ECHO) examinations. In addition, all participants benefited from a range of complimentary healthcare services, including electrocardiogram (ECG), blood sugar testing (fasting/random), blood pressure monitoring, dietitian consultations, and one free diagnostic test among total cholesterol, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), uric acid, or calcium.
The camp featured specialist consultations and echocardiography examinations conducted by Dr. Mohd. Kaleem and Dr. Rahul Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Executive Director of Gangasheel Hospital, said that the initiative was not only aimed at ensuring proper care and follow-up for patients with pacemakers but also served as an important platform for spreading awareness about heart health during the ongoing summer season.
Gangasheel Hospital organises pacemaker check-up camps twice every year, in June and December, bringing together leading pacemaker manufacturing companies, including Medtronic, Abbott, St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific and Biotronik. Representatives from these companies visit Bareilly to conduct pacemaker evaluations, ensuring that patients receive timely monitoring and appropriate treatment.
Hospital officials stated that Gangasheel Hospital’s commitment extends beyond providing medical treatment, with a focus on combining advanced healthcare technologies with compassionate patient care. Such initiatives reflect the institution’s ongoing dedication to making quality healthcare accessible to the community.
The successful execution of the camp was made possible through the collective efforts of senior cardiologists, technicians, nursing staff and the hospital management team. Gangasheel Hospital reiterated that this initiative is part of its long-term commitment to community healthcare and that it will continue organising regular health camps in the future to provide affordable, accessible and advanced medical services to all sections of society.
The hospital added that its objective remains to reach every patient through a combination of technological advancement and human compassion, while promoting greater health awareness and delivering meaningful healthcare interventions for the community.
