Fortis Healthcare has entered into a partnership with Lucknow-based real estate developer Ekana Group to operate and manage a new 550-bed super-speciality hospital coming up near Gomti Nagar. The greenfield facility, being developed by Ekana Group, will bring cutting-edge tertiary care services and modern medical infrastructure to the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
Fortis Healthcare’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, highlighted that the project reflects the company’s continued expansion in Uttar Pradesh.
This new facility will significantly boost tertiary care capacity for Lucknow and nearby regions. It marks our third major hospital presence in the state, after Noida and Greater Noida, and reinforces our commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible, he said.
Expressing confidence in the collaboration, Ekana Group’s Chairman and Managing Director, Uday Sinha said the project aims to deliver advanced healthcare where it is needed most.

Fortis Healthcare currently operates 33 facilities across 11 states, with more than 5,700 operational beds and 400 diagnostic labs. Alongside hospitals, it also runs day-care and speciality centers. In February, Fortis signed agreements to acquire Shrimann Superspecialty Hospital in Punjab, while last year it announced plans to take a 31% stake in its diagnostics arm, Agilus Diagnostics.
Ekana Group, best known for developing the Ekana Sportz City and its international cricket stadium in Lucknow, is diversifying into healthcare through this partnership.
