Fortis Healthcare has signed an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with Odisha-based Dion Group to operate a 300-bed greenfield multi-specialty hospital in Cuttack marking the company’s first major foray into Odisha. The project is expected to strengthen access to advanced tertiary healthcare services across eastern India. The hospital will be developed by Dion Group at DionRiverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack , a rapidly developing corridor between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. While Dion Group will develop the facility Fortis Healthcare will be responsible for its operations and management under the asset-light O&M model.
The project entails an investment of approximately ₹600crore and is expected to be completed within three to three-and-a-half years. Once operational, the hospital will serve patients from Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and neighbouring regions reducing the need for residents to travel outside the state for advanced medical treatment. The proposed facility is planned as a Centre of Excellence offering comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care across multiple specialties. It will be equipped with advanced diagnostic services, critical care infrastructure and specialised clinical programmes aimed at addressing the growing demand for high-quality healthcare in Odisha.

According to the companies, the hospital is expected to significantly strengthen the healthcare ecosystem in Odisha by improving access to specialised treatment, supporting advanced clinical services, attracting medical talent and fostering healthcare innovation in the region.
