ESIC Medical College, Indore, Secures NMC Approval to Begin MBBS Programme

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Indore, got nod from the National Medical Commission (NMC) granting the institution the Letter of Permission (LoP) to launch its MBBS course. The college will commence the programme with an initial intake of 50 students from the academic year 2025–26.

ESIC Indore Deputy Director, Pulkit Jain, hailed the development as a result of “persistent effort, seamless coordination, and unwavering commitment” from the entire team over the past several months.

“The approval for the MBBS programme marks a new chapter for quality medical education and improved healthcare access in Indore. It will benefit not only aspiring medical students but also insured beneficiaries and the wider community,” Jain said.

He also extended special appreciation to Dean Dr. Rajesh U. Sangram for leading the initiative, while highlighting the crucial roles played by Joint Director Dr. Mo Rubani and faculty and staff members in achieving this goal.

The NMC approval followed a detailed assessment of the college’s infrastructure, academic readiness, and compliance with national standards.
