Delhi CM Rekha Gupta inaugurated Advanced 3D mammography unit at Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, marking a major step in the fight against breast cancer. The CM noted that this advanced technology would significantly enhance early detection, allowing for prompt treatment and better survival outcomes for women.

The newly installed unit, equipped with cutting-edge digital tools, promises faster and more precise breast cancer diagnosis, offering a critical boost to women’s health services in the region.

During her address, CM Gupta reflected on the heavy emotional and financial burden cancer imposes on families. She stressed that with current medical innovations, early diagnosis and effective treatment are more achievable than ever before.

She also highlights the Delhi government’s recent strides in strengthening the public healthcare system. After a 10-year gap, permanent appointments in government hospitals have resumed. Over 1,300 permanent nurses have joined the workforce, and each government hospital now benefits from the presence of a dedicated Medical Superintendent to ensure better administration and service delivery.

CM Gupta further mentioned that Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been made operational across all government hospitals, making essential medicines available at 50–70% discounted rates. She added that key national health schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Vay Vandana Yojana are now active in the capital, giving eligible residents access to free treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh.

Looking forward, the Chief Minister announced the upcoming establishment of 1,139 ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’ across Delhi as part of the Ayushman Bharat Mission. Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these centers aim to ensure every household has easy access to quality primary healthcare.
