ASG Eye Hospital, one of India’s top super-specialty eye care chains, has unveiled its long-term expansion blueprint, Vision 2030, aimed at dramatically improving access to advanced ophthalmic services across the country. Backed by leading global investors General Atlantic and Kedaara Capital, the organisation plans to pump in ₹1,500–2,000 crore by 2030.

The investment will support a major scale-up of ASG’s footprint expanding its network nearly fourfold to 600–700 centres across India, strengthening its presence in the country’s $5.5 billion eye care market. Over the last two decades, ASG has grown to more than 175 centres in 95+ cities, providing high-quality and affordable eye care. Its next phase of growth will prioritise underserved and remote regions where specialist services remain scarce.
Vision 2030 is built on a three-part growth strategy combining targeted acquisitions with rapid organic expansion. The company plans to acquire 8–10 specialised practices every year, drawing from its experience integrating Vasan Eye Care. Alongside acquisitions, ASG will set up 5–7 new advanced eye care centres annually, with a strong push into 100 high-demand districts each year, where access to quality eye care remains limited.
ASG’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr Arun Singhvi, said, “Vision 2030 is about creating large-scale impact. Since more than 80% of vision loss in India is preventable, our mission is to eliminate avoidable blindness. We are taking world-class eye care beyond metros and into the heartland. This investment ensures that no Indian loses sight due to lack of access or affordability. Through public-private partnerships and tele-ophthalmology, we aim to make quality eye care a fundamental right for every citizen.”
The investment plan also prioritises strengthening clinical quality and operational systems. By 2026, ASG will direct funds toward R&D, training, advanced diagnostics, and surgical innovations, while ensuring uniform standards of care across its expanding network.
With centralised procurement and economies of scale, ASG also aims to reduce the cost of advanced procedures such as cataract, LASIK, and retina surgeries making them more affordable without compromising outcomes.
