Apollo Cradle & Children’s Hospital and Apollo Clinic have introduced the next phase of their women’s health awareness initiative, #CheckForChange, in the lead-up to International Women’s Day. The campaign aims to motivate women under the age of 45 to take a proactive approach toward their health by prioritising regular screenings and preventive care instead of seeking treatment only after symptoms appear.
Industry data suggests that nearly two-thirds of deaths among women are caused by non-communicable diseases. However, many women continue to overlook routine preventive health check-ups. As a result, conditions such as hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, and lifestyle-related disorders are often detected late, even though they can be effectively managed if identified early.
Commenting on the initiative, Nishant Mishra, Chief Marketing Officer at Apollo Health and Lifestyle, noted that women particularly those balancing demanding careers and family responsibilities frequently place their own health needs last. He emphasised that regular health screenings are essential, as a proactive healthcare approach not only protects long-term well-being but also supports the families who depend on them.
The campaign highlights the importance of timely interventions during various life stages, including hormonal and lifestyle transitions experienced in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. It also focuses on addressing nutritional deficiencies that can affect immunity and energy levels, while encouraging early detection of chronic conditions through diagnostic screenings.
Throughout March, Apollo’s network will host educational sessions and provide specialised screening packages. The initiative invites women to “Choose Prevention” and “Choose Proactive Care” as part of their healthcare decisions.
