Apollo Hospitals has inaugurated a 400-bed next-generation smart hospital in Hyderabad’s Financial District expanding its nationwide healthcare network to 76 hospitals. The new facility is aimed at strengthening technology-driven healthcare delivery and advanced critical care services in India. The hospital was inaugurated by A. Revanth Reddy in the presence of senior state officials and healthcare leaders. The facility marks Apollo’s fifth hospital in Telangana and is part of the group’s broader expansion strategy focused on digitally integrated healthcare infrastructure.
According to the hospital group, the newly launched institution has been designed as a “smart hospital” with AI-enabled systems, integrated digital platforms and real-time clinical connectivity aimed at improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
The hospital incorporates several advanced technologies, including:
- AI-assisted scheduling and patient management systems
- Smart ICU infrastructure with dedicated nursing attention
- Arthrex Pano Scope for minimally invasive procedures
- VALD rehabilitation and movement assessment technology
- uMR Omega ultra-wide bore 3.0T MRI with AI-enabled imaging workflows
The facility also features advanced diagnostics, high-end surgical care and digitally connected monitoring systems intended to support faster and more precise treatment pathways.
Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Prathap C. Reddy said the institution reflects the group’s commitment to building accessible and technology-led healthcare systems in India. He stated that the hospital was designed not only as a healthcare facility but also as a patient-centric ecosystem focused on compassionate and high-quality care.
Joint Managing Director Sangita Reddy said the new hospital reinforces Hyderabad’s emergence as a major healthcare and medical technology hub while strengthening Apollo’s mission of integrating digital innovation with clinical excellence. During the inauguration, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also announced plans to develop a large “Health City” near Hyderabad airport to promote medical tourism and improve international healthcare connectivity in the state.
The launch comes amid increasing investment in advanced healthcare infrastructure across India following the COVID-19 pandemic. Experts believe technology-enabled hospitals with AI-assisted diagnostics, smart ICUs and digitally connected systems are likely to play a major role in the future of healthcare delivery.
