Apollo Hospitals has appointed Abhishek Jain as Senior General Manager, bringing back an experienced healthcare executive with more than 15 years of experience in international healthcare business, business development, marketing, operations and medical tourism.
Jain’s professional experience spans healthcare markets across Asia, Africa, the GCC and CIS regions, where he has worked on international business development, strategic partnerships and patient services.
His latest role was Head of International Business at Max Healthcare, where he was responsible for international healthcare business. Jain has also previously worked with Apollo Hospitals as General Manager – International Business, giving him prior experience in managing the organisation’s overseas healthcare initiatives.
Jain’s association with Apollo dates back further to his role as Assistant Manager – International Marketing. His career also includes leadership experience with Manipal Health Enterprises, along with product and business development roles at Win-Medicare and Biotavia Pharm. Ltd.
The appointment brings together Jain’s earlier experience with Apollo and his subsequent exposure to international healthcare markets. His role is expected to cover areas linked to international business development, strategic partnerships, overseas patient services and medical tourism.
The move comes as Indian hospital groups continue to strengthen their international patient programmes and expand healthcare partnerships across overseas markets.
