Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has outlined plans to expand its total bed capacity to 13,000 by FY30, up from nearly 10,000 currently, as it looks to strengthen its position in complex and speciality care. The expansion is part of its existing growth strategy and comes amid rising demand for advanced treatments across India.

The hospital chain has projected revenue growth in the mid-to-high teens for FY26–27, supported by the phased addition of new beds. According to the company’s leadership, a significant portion of the upcoming capacity will be dedicated to complex care segments, reflecting increasing cases of cancer, cardiac ailments, neurological disorders and other lifestyle-related diseases.

During the December quarter, revenue from key speciality segments including cardiology, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology and orthopaedics rose 22.6% year-on-year. Organ transplant services recorded an even sharper 40% growth, highlighting strong demand for high-end procedures.

Financially, the company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹5.02 billion for the quarter ended December 31, compared to ₹3.47 billion in the same period last year. Overall revenue climbed 17.2% to ₹64.77 billion, surpassing market estimates, driven primarily by a 15% growth in its healthcare services business. However, occupancy rates saw a marginal decline to 67% from 68% a year earlier.

Apollo’s expansion aligns with a broader trend among private hospital operators in India, who are ramping up bed additions through acquisitions and new facility development, particularly in smaller cities, to cater to growing healthcare needs.
