Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited has appointed Anand Wasker as Chief Business Officer – Apollo International, effective October 2026, bringing him back to the Apollo healthcare network after previous leadership assignments across its primary care, diabetes management and dental businesses.
Wasker brings over 29 years of professional experience across healthcare, diagnostics, wellness, banking and telecommunications. His expertise includes business strategy, operational management, revenue growth, network expansion and commercial development.
Prior to this appointment, Wasker served as President – Global Services at VLCC from April 2024. He previously held the position of Chief Business Officer at the company between April 2023 and April 2024, overseeing business operations and growth initiatives.
His earlier association with Apollo included several senior leadership roles. As CEO of Apollo Primary Care, he oversaw a network of more than 500 clinics across 55 cities, operating under Apollo Clinic, Apollo Dental and Apollo Sugar. He also served as CEO of Apollo Sugar Clinics, which operated 93 centres across 16 cities, and COO of Apollo Dental, managing over 110 clinics across 28 cities.
Wasker also served as COO of Apollo Clinic from 2015 to 2022, leading its primary healthcare operations and service network.
Before his earlier Apollo assignments, he was associated with Suburban Diagnostics India as Chief Operating Officer from 2013 to 2015. During his tenure, the company’s network expanded from 25 to 80 centres, with revenue growth exceeding 40% CAGR over two years.
His professional background also includes more than a decade at ICICI Bank, where he held regional leadership positions in retail and commercial banking. He began his career in telecommunications, working with Birla AT&T, Idea Cellular and Reliance Infocom.
In his new role, Wasker is expected to bring his experience in healthcare service delivery, multi-location operations and business expansion to Apollo International as the organisation advances its business operations.
