The Andhra Pradesh government has released ₹233 crore in payments to private hospitals empanelled under various government health schemes, Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav said.
Of the total, ₹130 crore was released in August under the Dr NTR Vaidya Seva scheme, while ₹80 crore was paid through the Bill Discount Scheme. Another ₹23 crore under the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) has been processed and is ready for payment through the Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS).
The minister said the government has so far disbursed ₹1,657 crore to private network hospitals during the 2026-27 financial year, including payments made through the Bill Discount Scheme.
Yadav said the government was focusing on clearing eligible hospital claims on time, describing private hospitals as important partners in delivering healthcare services to beneficiaries of government schemes.
He added that timely settlement of bills would help empanelled hospitals maintain uninterrupted healthcare services for patients covered under the schemes.
