The Ministry of Ayush has launched three major initiatives aimed at strengthening Ayurveda research, innovation, and global outreach during the 27th Governing Body meeting of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) in New Delhi.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, unveiled CCRAS-PARAMPARA for documenting and validating traditional health practices, launched the National Research Recognitions Portal to promote Ayurveda research excellence, and introduced Ayur-dict, CCRAS’s first mobile app integrating multiple Ayurveda dictionaries on a single platform.
The Minister emphasized the need to combine traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern science, digital technologies, and innovation. He called for greater involvement of young researchers, startups, and industry partners to help position Ayurveda as a globally accepted, evidence-based healthcare system.
The meeting also reviewed key achievements of CCRAS and discussed future strategies to expand research infrastructure, promote scientific validation, and enhance the international reach of Ayurveda.
