The training programme supervised by Sugandh Khandelwal, Director, TISHHA Consultants LLP and conducted by fire safety expert Renjith T.R., Tanisha Gupta and Saksham Sharma, who provided employees with practical knowledge and hands-on guidance on preventing fire hazards and responding effectively during emergencies. The initiative aimed to equip staff with the skills and confidence needed to protect themselves and assist others in the event of a fire-related incident.

During the session, participants were trained in prompt emergency rescue procedures, safe evacuation practices, and the correct use of firefighting equipment. Special emphasis was placed on the internationally recognised RACE protocol Rescue, Alarm, Confine and Extinguish/Evacuate which outlines the critical steps to be followed during a fire emergency. Employees were also sensitised to the importance of remaining calm, alerting emergency services without delay, and ensuring the safe evacuation of all occupants.

As part of the exercise, a fire safety audit of the office premises was also undertaken to assess existing safety measures, identify potential risks and recommend improvements wherever necessary by Mushahid Rafat, Managing Editor, TISHHA News and Broadcast. The audit reviewed the accessibility and functionality of firefighting equipment, emergency exits, evacuation routes, and overall compliance with fire safety practices.
