Quality Care India Limited (QCIL), headquartered in Hyderabad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intuitive to scale robotic-assisted surgery across its hospital network, including CARE Hospitals, KIMSHEALTH, and Evercare Hospitals. The rollout will be executed in phases, involving the installation of multiple robotic systems to enhance clinical capabilities and expand access to advanced minimally invasive care in tier 2 and tier 3 markets.

The move aligns with QCIL’s broader strategy to strengthen advanced surgical infrastructure in emerging regions. By expanding robotic-assisted procedures across more centres, the collaboration aims to improve access and build clinical capacity across specialties such as thoracic, transplant, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, and surgical oncology.

Commenting on the partnership, Varun Khanna, Group Managing Director of QCIL, said the focus will be on strengthening clinical readiness and programme consistency, enabling more patients to receive high-end surgical care closer to home. He added that the initiative reflects the group’s commitment to delivering world-class healthcare beyond metropolitan cities.

As part of the agreement, Intuitive will provide comprehensive training, technical support, and services to surgeons and care teams across QCIL hospitals. This is expected to support wider adoption, improve procedural consistency, and deliver benefits such as greater surgical precision, faster recovery, and improved patient outcomes.
