UP CM Yogi Adityanath on August 17 inaugurated the newly built Regency Hospital located on Medical College Road in Gulharia, Gorakhpur.
Speaking at the event, CM Yogi said the hospital houses an 80-bed ICU the largest so far in the region and will serve a population of over five crore people. He underlined that the hospital has been designed with strict measures to prevent infection, making it a model centre for advanced healthcare.
This superspeciality hospital will emerge as an excellent hub of treatment for the people of this region. The 80-bed ICU is the biggest to date, and all necessary precautions have been ensured to avoid infections that often spread in hospitals, Yogi said.
Highlighting the importance of local access to advanced healthcare, CM Yogi added that facilities which earlier forced patients to travel to big cities like Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru or Chennai will now be available in Gorakhpur itself.
Regency Hospital began its journey from Kanpur and is now expanding as a chain. By bringing such facilities closer to people, it sets an example of how world-class healthcare can reach every district, he said.
