The Centre has named Shailesh Kumar Yadav, a 2013-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Tripura cadre, as Deputy Secretary in the National Health Authority (NHA), New Delhi.
Four-Year Central Deputation
As per the official order, Shailesh’s posting is under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has been relieved from his current assignment with immediate effect to take up the new role without delay.
Position Under Health & Family Welfare Ministry
In his new capacity, Shailesh will work under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, contributing to the NHA’s mandate of implementing large-scale health programmes and strengthening India’s digital health ecosystem.
Move to Strengthen Health Governance
His appointment is viewed as a strategic step to enhance administrative capacity at the NHA. With his experience and proven track record, Shailesh is expected to play a key role in advancing the government’s goal of accessible, efficient, and technology-driven healthcare delivery across the country.
