Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the newly constructed Unani Medical College in Hajiyapur on August 06 (Wednesday). Built at a cost of ₹129 crore, this is the first Unani medical institution in the Bareilly division. The project, whose foundation stone was laid nearly four years ago, will now serve as a dual centre for both education and healthcare in the region.
With the inauguration, the path to Unani medical education and treatment in the region has become more accessible. The state government envisions this institution as a major boost to traditional medicine and higher education in Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister also participated in a large public gathering held at Bareilly College, where a mega employment fair was organized. During the event, candidates were selected for nearly 6,000 job positions across various sectors.
