In a major step toward transforming diagnostic healthcare, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena inaugurated a new Mahajan Imaging & Labs centre in Sector 13, Dwarka, located at Radisson Blu Hotel. The event marked the official launch of India’s first ultra-fast, AI-powered MRI scanner – the Excel 3T, setting a new milestone in medical imaging.
The newly opened facility brings together advanced radiology, pathology, and genetic testing under one roof, making high-end diagnostic services more accessible to residents of Dwarka and surrounding areas. It focuses heavily on cardiac, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging, along with preventive health checks, all housed in a thoughtfully designed, patient-friendly environment that prioritizes comfort and sustainability.
The Excel 3T MRI features AI-driven enhancements like real-time motion correction, faster image reconstruction, and contactless scanning, reducing scan durations by nearly 50%. This is especially beneficial for children, elderly patients, and those with claustrophobia (Fear of Enclosed Spaces).
COO Kabir Mahajan emphasized faster reporting through a connected diagnostic network, while Founder Dr. Harsh Mahajan noted that the centre aims to merge empathy, efficiency, and precision in diagnostics.
With this launch, Delhi takes the lead in embracing AI-driven diagnostic solutions and improving access to high-quality, tech-enabled healthcare.
