The Indian Medical Association (IMA), extended its congratulations to the Indian Armed Forces for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
In a statement released on May 6, the IMA hailed the Armed Forces’ “decisive and courageous action” and reaffirmed its solidarity with the Government of India. Commending the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the association lauded the government’s unwavering commitment to national security and citizen safety.
“As an organization deeply rooted in the values of service and duty, the IMA stands firmly with the nation during this critical time,” the statement read.
The association also reiterated its readiness to support national efforts by providing all necessary healthcare services. “The medical fraternity under IMA is fully prepared to assist wherever needed,” it added, pledging full cooperation with the Armed Forces, government agencies, and the public.
The IMA’s message comes as the nation rallies behind security forces following heightened tensions in the region, underlining the role of medical professionals in national service beyond traditional boundaries.
